Peeling, dry palms: are often caused by contact dermatitis--contact with harsh detergents, soaps and lotions that contain perfume; cold, dry air; eczema or fungal infections.Use fresh water instead of soap; apply calamine lotion. A low dose OTC steroid cream can be applied.Symptoms worsened by dry skin: use good quality moisturizer during daytime.Consider repair glycolic acid creams at night, maybe with cotton gloves

Dryness of palms: Dryness of palms can be due to dermatitis or eczema, using too much soap, or washing hands too frequently. Try soap free hand wash such as cetaphil and lots of moisturiser.
