Answer: I would be concerned if there are any breathing or talking difficulties, vomiting, or persistent drooling, chest pain, or regurgitation of undigested food.

Pain & Vomiting: Generally it is more likely than not that bone will be partially digested and then passed out in the stool without any problems. We see this happen with items like glass and safety pins with semi-regularity. Injury to the oesophagus would cause throat or chest pain made worse with swallowing. Obstruction of intestine would present as abdominal pain +/- distension, nausea & vomiting
