Supposed to turn in occult blood test. have bleeding hemorrhoids off and on. is it okay to collect sample couple days after bleeding stopped?

No: It is important to have the hemorrhoids taken care of first, before doing occult blood test. A positive occult blood test, even a false positive one will lead to additional investigation which may not be warranted. It would not take gross bleeding from hemorrhoids to produce a positive occult blood test.
