Yes: you can have a brief period of uterine cramps after insertion. They usually get better with time Take ibuprofen for pain relief.

It may be normal: for up to a week after insertion,but if cramping persists I would call your gyn and discuss with them

Paragard 1+ yr, no issues before, but now having irregular/excessive bleeding, sudden cramping, side/back pain, and passing abnormal clots 2 weeks after a normal period. Soaking through regular and super tampons within 1-2 hours. Not normal for me.
I got the kyleena iud inserted about 2 months again. I havent had a real period since insertion. I bleed a little and I have some spotting but around my period with the iud I get the most painful intense abdominal pains and cramps. Is this normal?
