Elbow tendinitis: Most importantly do not do anything that increases pain. Secondly use heat/ice whichever is better. Thirdly use a topical anti-inflammatory. Fourthly you can see a doctor and be considered for a steroid injection in the site. Once the pain is controlled then you must consider pt.

Reply: If it is "tennis elbow" it is commonly treated without surgery and can respond to therapy exercises, rest and progressive strengthening.
