Breakthrough: bleeding secondary to fluctuations in female hormone levels, mixed with vaginal and cervical mucous. If sexually active this can occur after intercourse and/or vigorous foreplay. I suggest a GYN evaluation if this continues net month.

No: Variations in menses and timing of onset is common. Unless you are concerned about being pregnant, its not a issue. Ibuprofen for pain as needed and watch for symptoms to improve. If it worsens, talk to your gyn for further work up best wishes Dr M
