Trust him or her?: Not to cause issues, but are you sure your partner has been faithful? You are not the only one that could have contracted HIV from someone else. If you are worried, just ask your doctor to privately test and put it out of mind.

HIV Testing: Yes. Six months is likely a good and ideal time to wait for antibody testing. But, if the partner you are with has had other partners in those six months then ongoing testing may need to occur.
