Perimenopause?: 50 year old lady with questions about periodicity change of her menstrual period and painful cramping. Please visit your OB/GYN for a full exam. Indeed, what may seem like menstrual bleeding may be indicative of another condition which needs dilated exam. During perimenopause, periods may come closer together then further apart. Hot flashes truly indicate menopausal symptoms. See link from ACOG.
