Pin worms: Pin worm reinfection can occur if not treated appropriately. Appropriate treatment is to repeat treatment in 2 weeks to kill worms that hatched from left over eggs. If still reinfected make sure there is not another source in the household therefore recommendation is to treat other house hold members simulatneously

How diagnosed?: A tenet of medicine is treatment designed for the wrong diagnosis is seldom effective.Not all itchy rears have to do with pin worms. There are a variety of yeast, bacteria, food reactions, etc that can result in anal itching.Unless you actually had pin worms detected by tape test or other definitive study you are likely treating the wrong problem.
