A member asked:

I am currently on retuximab maintenance and my pneumococcal and haemophilus antibodies are suboptimal - can you tell me what this means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibodies: Rituximab targets your B lymphocytes, some of these are in charge of producing antibodies. Perhaps the treatment is interfering somewhat with your antibody titers to these germs.
