Help is available: How sad that women in your situation in much of the country don't have immediate resources and know where to go. But help is available, often at little or no cost, even in "red" states. Look for a Planned Parenthood clinic in your area; or call the county health department; or a community clinic. Look online for abortion services. Beware of sites that masquerade as help but may raise barriers.

Big decision: A woman who feels she is newly pregnant can do a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex. If she has a positive test, then she and her husband can decide what to do with their baby. If an abortion is desired, they can ask their Ob-Gyn doctor about different types of abortions. Abortion pills are very effective in the early weeks, but it is a big decision as their baby fetus will be destroyed.
