Immune function test: Lymphocyte Transformation Tests evaluate how well a person's lymphocytes work, by testing the ability of the lymphocytes to react properly to antigens or mitogens. Lymphocytes are one type of white blood cells, and need to work correctly in order to fight off certain types of infections. Antigens or mitogens are substances that a person's immune system reacts to.
