I recently had an appointment with a cardiologist. they gave me a holter device but i have no clue about the do's and don'ts. all they told me was not to get it wet. is there anything else i should know?

You have to return i: Wear the Holter monitor at all times, it takes a continuous recording of your EKG (electrical heart rhythm) for about 24 hrs. You should know that you have to return it so that the Cardiologist can download the data & analyze it. Beyond that there's not much to do. Avoid water & electric shocks, just as you would for any electrical device. Good luck!

Holter monitor: Wear it on you for the time it was prescribed for. Don't get it wet. If you have any symptoms like chest pain, palpitation or any unusual feeling chart it down in a dairy and give it to your cardiologist when you return the monitor.
