A member asked:

Why does lymphoma cause low grade fevers? is it because of blood counts? physiologically, what causes the fever if there is no infection.

Cytokines: Fever results from cytokines, which are chemicals produced by immune system cells in response to infection and several other conditions, including some cancers, auto-immune diseases, and others. In lymphoma, the abnormal cells themselves may produce cytokines in excess, causing fever.
