Remembering BC Pills: I tell my patients to leave their BC pills right next to their toothbrush as a reminder each day. Now if you don't brush every day (yuck!) or travel a lot, that will not help. For patients who tolerate BC pills but cannot remember to take them every day, the Nuvaring is a good compromise. You only have to remember to insert the ring once a month, and fewer side effects than Nex. or Depo shot.

Several Options: Other options would be an IUD (Mirena (levonorgestrel) or Paragard); Depo-provera injections; the vaginal ring; or skin patches. There really are a lot of options. Best wishes!
