A member asked:

Son is 11. he regularly complain his body aching (mainly his legs). we thought could be growing pains, but should we be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common Complaints: Aches and Pains at this age can be very common at this age. With the pain have you noticed any change in his health? Decreased activity, fatigue, loss of appetite, changes in his skin, fever. Can he give a specific location to the pain (point with one finger) or is the pain generalized (my legs). Most growing pains are nonspecific pains and the child is eating, playing and is in normal health.
