A member asked:

Went off birth control in oct and am still not pregnant. have been using apps to time and also opks. should i be concerned now and go to a fertility doctore, or should i wait the full 12 months?

Depends on your age: If you are over 30-35 years of age, you can seek fertility testing earlier rather than later. however, if you are younger and dont have significant medical issues, you can wait and use OPKs. Remember fecundity rate (successful pregnancy per month) is only 20 % for first month. It sounds crazy given all the people that get pregnancy without even trying. be patient best wishes Dr M
