Physics lesson: Newton's third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Interacting objects experience two forces: action and reaction. The direction of the force on the object is opposite to the direction of the force of the second object. So you kick chair. The force of the leg on chair is equal to the force of chair pushing back. Why calf hurts.

Not typical: but there's always a possibility. Most important is to get checked out if you are having calf pain. Have your doctor examine you and give you the proper diagnosis and treatment if needed!
