A member asked:

I have had two incidents of fecal incontinence in the past two weeks, with diarrhea that has a strong ammonia smell. is this likely due to infection?

Incontinence: Fecal incontinence can be a very distressing event - it can be precipitated by a bout of diarrhea, but if you are incontinent of formed stools, it is very important you discuss this with your doctor. Fecal incontinence can be caused by serious underlying problems.
