Chest pain: Chest pain can be serious. I would need much more information in order to assess the risks. How old is your boyfriend? What are his risk factors for cardiac disease? What are his risk factors for clotting problems? Is there a history of trauma? He needs a full clinical evaluation with history, physical examination, and other studies. Please go to an emergency room or urgent care now. Don't delay.
