It happens: You only need two,one artery and one vein.Most have two arteries and one vein. There are a few times this is associated with kidney or other defects, but most are not.The worrisome issues are usually evident on the same ultrasound that gave you this news, but will lead your baby doc to examine the baby closely at birth.I'd relax for now.
