Radiculopathy?: When there is chird compression, unless it's minimal, that's usually of more concern than radiculopathy. That can leave you quadriplegic (worst-case scenario). According to your doctor, are the problems due to root impingement (radiculopathy), cord compression or both? Most neurosurgeons prefer the anterior approach unless there is a reason to do posterior. What does your surgeon say?
