Irregular menses: It is not uncommon for normal, healthy women to have an occasional irregular menstrual cycle. Stress alone can cause a delay in ovulation which will in turn lead to a longer than normal menstrual cycle. There are, however, underlying medical issues that can present as irregular periods including thyroid disease. As long as your periods regulate, I wouldn't worry about it. If not, see your doctor.
