Probably not but...: Some microwave radiation can leak from microwave ovens, esp. if the door isn't fully sealed, which is more likely in older ovens. However, this radiation is not proven to cause cancer. Standing several yards from a running microwave will minimize exposure. I'm more concerned about the controversial potential hazards of eating microwaved food so I usually avoid it. See http://tinyurl.com/nsh36ks
