A member asked:

Nurse saliva landed on my skin area seconds before blood drawn, can hiv, hepb/c be transfer this way? nurse said she is clean. doc said no worries

HIV cannot be: transmitted through intact skin, only through mucous or intravenous contact with infected saliva, blood or ejaculate/vaginal fluid. Unless you had an open wound where the saliva landed, otherwise I would not be worried. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
