A member asked:

Will penicillin vk work for bacterial vaginois?

Not likely: The bacterial organisms that cause bacterial vaginosis tend to be Gram negative anaerobes that Penicillin will not completely "kill". Anaerobes are bacteria that don't like to live in the presence of oxygen( the vagina) and Penicillin prefers aerobes(oxygen loving bacteria) to treat that are Gram positive.

No: No. Penicillin VK will not work for bacterial vaginosis. The antibiotics that are used to treat this infection are metronidazole and clindamycin.
