Periods off the Pill: can often change in the first few months after stopping the birth control pill (which i assume is what you mean by "birth control"). The uterine lining can get thicker and may not shed completely leading to spotting post-period. See your GYN if your cycles do not normalize after 3 months off the pill. Of course you can ovulate at any time and get pregnant, so do a home test if you are unsure.
