Almost impossible: Some very early tubal pregnancies (betaHCG under 1000 mIU/ml) may be asymptomatic and resolve on their own or in spontaneous tubal abortions. You and your Gyn may find it impossible to know for sure. More advanced tubal pregnancies (betaHCG levels above 2000 mIU/ml) tend to cause symptoms and can be diagnosed.
