Am having upper endoscopy a week from today. am very nervous. for trouble swallowing/throat tightness/food coming back up. what can i expect?

Not to worry: You will be lightly sedated. You probably will not remember the test afterwards. I have been in practice near 40 years and not once have I had anyone complain about ANYTHING with an upper endoscopy. Just relax, pray during procedure, and look forward to finding out what (if anything) is wrong with you. True, some other procedures are a lot more difficult and uncomfortable. You will do fine.
