If you haven't had: sexual intercourse or anything large (your partner's hand for example) in your vagina, then you're still a virgin. Tampons are small enough that they usually don't disrupt the hymen & even if they did, they alone would not mean you lost your virginity. The hymen is a delicate membrane at the entrance to the vagina which you might be able to see with a mirror & flashlight. DR. Anne.
