Psychotic Disorder: I understand your distress and frustration. You have been a Caring Daughter! Mom’s thinking that she is a hacker seems to indicate poor Reality- testing, feeling grandiose, and desire to control. If she believes it adamantly, it becomes Delusion. Mother may have Paranoid ideations- or may have Paranoid Delusions. Prepare her to see Psychiatrist for possible Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment.

She needs to: Be evaluated ASAP. Without knowing more about her (if this was sudden, due to a med change, if she has a history of mental illness, etc) it’s impossible to say what caused her paranoia, but lots of things can cause this, and all of them require urgent/emergent evaluation. The safe thing to do is to please take her to the ER. Good luck!
