Here are some...: If its use just smooths stool regularity without watery diarrhea, it would not affect your electrolyte and acid/base balance. More? Ask your prescribing doctor. If unsure, test it once in 3-4 months for reassurance; that is reasonable.

NO: There is no difference the dietary fiber. Absorbs water and makes the stool more bulky
