Tonsils: White spots on the tonsils could represent exudate from an acute infection or may represent tonsilloliths, aka "tonsil stones". Tonsils stones may cause throat pain and bad breath. The latter is treated with gargles and mouth rinse. See your doctor for evaluation if you are not feeling better in 5-7 days.
