Most likely: It's not uncommon for intercourse to be painful the first time, as well as to be accompanied by bleeding. The bleeding, if present, is usually light and may recur for a few days. Heavy bleeding or persistent pain is concerning for a possible injury to the vagina, which warrants a pelvic examination by your doctor.
