A member asked:

Can the acidic nature of the vagina cause it to itch when moist? (in the area of fordyce spots) or is that normally thrush related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: the normal flora in the vagina maintains a relatively acidic environment. Yeast and other bacteria can disrupt that and cause overgrowth of organisms that cause itching, foul odor, discharge and /or pain. See your GYN if symptoms persist for treatment Best Wishes Dr M
