The question is not: clear, but it appears that he has contracted an infection which is usually self limiting. Not sure of the phrase "smells toxic". Did the smell start with his symptoms or has it existed before his acute illness? Your son is a growing child and most likely active so a healthy appetite is expected. I will recommend a regular check up with his MD to monitor growth and evaluate concerns highlighted
