I have a dull bass drum sounding noise in my ear. it's irregular and happens mostly when i'm in the car. olive oil has helped. it's not painful. ?

The most common cause of what you are describing is wax or cerumen against the tympanic membrane, which in a car with the changing air pressures might sound louder. See your physician or irrigate the ear with a syringe and warm water and if it continues then see the physician
