A member asked:

Is it possible to have ocular hsv without dendrites seen in the flueroscein blue light test? thanks,

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ocular HSV: can cause Herpes Simplex Keratitis (infection of the cornea) among other issues with the structures of the eye. When infecting the cornea, the virus can affect the epithelium and will have classic dendrites on corneal staining. But if the virus infects the cornea stroma, without epithelial involvement, then their will be no staining on biomicroscopy.
