If you had unprotect: Sex during the beginning of your menstrual cycle (i.e. When you were bleeding) it is still possible to get pregnant. Pregnancy tests will not be accurate until around the time you are expecting your next period. At that time you can check a urine test although a blood test will detect pregnancy a few days sooner than a urine test. Contraception should be used even during your menses.
