If it persists: If this is a new symptom starting after surgery it is likely related to your anesthesia. It is common to place a tube into the stomach through one nostril. The amount of bleeding as well as how many times a day is also important. Bleeding can be exacerbated by blood thinners and pain medicine such as ibuprofen. If it continues or is happening multiple times a day call your doctor.
