Yes: Pad is a very serious condition that has also been linked to heart attack and stroke if it’s not treated.

PAD is a marker: Peripheral arterial disease (pad) is a well known marker of and predictive for coronary artery disease, a component of the broader heart disease. Many types of heart failure are related to coronary artery disease and so there's the connection. Pad by itself, however, does not directly cause heart failure but it can be associated.
