Daily limit Vit A: The Recommended Daily Allowance is up to 6,000 IU of beta-carotene from supplements for an adult male, and about 4,667 IU from supplements for an adult female. Here's a link from the National Institute of Health with more information: https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminA-HealthProfessional/

Yes: Vitamins, especially A, are best obtained from foods. You cannot get Vit.A toxicity from food. But preformed Vit.A from pills can cause birth defects, dry skin, hair loss, etc. Do not take over 3000 units. Do not take any if you might become pregnant. Why in the world would any "hair supplement" contain any Vit.A at all? Stop being a sucker and eat your vegetables.
