Ask your physician: Screening for pancreatic cancer is not routinely done unless your physicians recommend it. These are the screening/diagnostic studies: http://www.Cancer.Gov/cancertopics/wyntk/pancreas/page6.

MRI: They screen for pancreatic cancer using a combination of imaging, genetic testing and family history to determine risks. Biomarkers such as Ca 19-9 are nonspecific. Usually a gastroenterologist can assist with risk assessment and order appropriate studies.
