Sterile procedures: I don't understand the business about someone at the desk and cover on the ultrasound probe. But it is extremely unlikely that your doctor or his office staff would re-use the same probe without sterile precautions. If you remain concerned, contact the office directly and ask. I'm sure there is a valid, non-risk explanation for whatever you thought you saw.
