Insoluble fiber : This form helps with constipation better (although may cause slightly more bloating).

Neither: Your problem sounds like it is due to inadequate or the wrong fluids. You need 80-100 oz of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid per day, more due to meds or exercising. If you add insoluble fiber this may make your symptoms worse. Eat a healthy high fiber diet and don't waste your money on fiber supplements.
