Take all antibiotics: The reason why the usual course of antibiotics for infections is 7-10 days (or more), is that they don't clear up the infection quickly. It is a process that takes time, not immediate. Sometimes it takes several days to see the improvement and ease the discomfort. But amoxicillin is the first-line medicine, so keep taking all the pills as prescribed.

See your dentist: The tooth may need to be drained. Antibiotics alone will not be enough.

See your dentist: Antibiotics alone seldom resolves infections. It merely controls the infection and tends to prevent spread. The cause of the infection also needs to be addressed. contact your own dentist and discuss what needs to be done and when.

Infection: Antibiotics do not cure tooth infections. They only control and prevent spread of infection until tooth can be treated with Root Canal therapy or extraction. You may need a different antibiotic. See your Dentist ASAP.
