A member asked:

Can otc acetaminophen and ibuprofen ever be taken together for pain relief? if so, how much of each med & at what intervals?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different pathways: These can be taken together and do not cross react. The proper dose of each depends upon your body mass and the strength of the pain which you are attempting to relieve. Best to start low and gradually increase the dose each day until relief is at hand. Most do best by taking the proper dose twice per day.
