Probably okay: One of the problems of advancing diaper technology has been the rise in dry babies.Not that they are not going, but the diapers materials absorb it so quickly you can only tell they go if you weigh the diapers. If the kid is thriving and this is your only concern I would just monitor things. You could invest in a postal scale but I think that would be to to much.
