Swollen finger.: The symptoms described are very suggestive of infection. You should be seen by an an md soon.

Swollen finger: Have you had any injury? That it is not warm or red, speaks against infection, but still a possibility. Any other problems such as pain in joints? Fever? I would see a doctor to have an exam, maybe xray and some blood work.
