Urge to urinate: Is not normal. Usually in the Emergency Department when I see a patient with this complaint the urine is tested. From a sample it can be determined if you have a bacterial urinary tract infection or pregnancy: common causes in a woman with urinary urgency. Back pain may or may not be related to these stated two concerns. Then follow-up with primary care doctor. Feel better & take care---
